SINGAPORE, January 7, 2025 – Terrascope, a leading carbon measurement and decarbonisation platform, has appointed Felipe Daguila as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective today. Daguila, who joined the company in 2021 as Chief Commercial Officer and later expanded his role as Chief Commercial & Customer Officer, succeeds outgoing CEO Maya Hari.
Daguila brings over 20 years of global leadership experience, with a career spanning roles at Google, AWS, and multiple startups. Since joining Terrascope, he has been instrumental in driving the company’s growth across Asia Pacific, Europe, and the United States. In his new role, Daguila will focus on advancing Terrascope’s strategic initiatives, including deepening investor relations and strengthening partnerships such as the company’s collaboration with Fujitsu, a global leader in IT services and sustainability transformation.
Reflecting on the leadership transition, outgoing CEO Maya Hari said, “It has been a privilege to lead Terrascope and contribute to its vision of empowering enterprises to keep the planet habitable for all. Felipe’s deep understanding of customer needs, combined with his strategic vision and hands-on leadership, makes him the perfect choice to guide Terrascope into its next phase of innovation and growth.”
Under Hari’s leadership, Terrascope achieved significant milestones, including expansion into the US and Japanese markets. Tatsuki Hirota, previously General Manager for Japan, will now take on Daguila’s former responsibilities, leading global sales, marketing, and customer success.
Daguila expressed his gratitude and outlined his vision for the company, stating,”Growing up in Brazil as a farmer’s grandson instilled in me a deep connection to Terrascope’s mission of making the planet habitable for all. My 25 years in technology have further strengthened my commitment to this cause. Over the past three years, Terrascope has measured 462 million metric tons of CO2 – equivalent to Australia’s annual carbon emissions – and built an AI-driven decarbonisation library of over 20,000 initiatives. As we move forward, we aim to become the most accessible platform for measuring and reducing emissions in land, nature, and net-zero economy sectors.”
Terrascope’s appointment of Daguila signals a renewed focus on scaling its impact globally and advancing its mission to empower enterprises in the fight against climate change.
